All You Need To Know About JEE Mains
JEE is abbreviated as (Joint Entrance Examination) it is an all-India level Common Entrance Exam for getting admissions into prestigious engineering colleges across India especially the IITs. NTA (National Testing Agency) is the authority responsible for conducting the IIT JEE exam. Exams take place two times a year in the month of January and April.
JEE exam is classified into two phases:
- JEE Main
- JEE Advanced
JEE mains is classified into :
- Paper I (E./B.Tech courses)
- Paper II (B.Arch)
IIT mains paper and advanced paper are prepared by the expert professionals based on the syllabus coverage, difficulty level, the ideal time for each question, questions associated with multiple concepts and repetitive topics from previous papers. Hence keep in mind all the aspects while preparing for the exam.
As we know the JEE mains is the most challenging undergraduate admission tests. It requires high-level dedication and commitment to clear. It is an examination conducted online (computer-based mode). There are certain terms and condition to apply and appear for JEE Mains. Students have to be qualified 12th standard board (or equivalent) examination with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics as main subjects. Weightage to 12th standard board examination marks is considered while getting admissions into IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs. Students are expected to secure 75% marks and 65% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th standard qualifying exam.
To appear for B.arch (paper II) examination, the candidates should obtain 50% marks exclusively in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics examinations and also secure 50% aggregate marks in 10+2th standard board (or equivalent) examination. It is advised for the students to strictly follow CBSE prescribed NCERT syllabus. JEE advance is the only way to enter IIT. JEE Main score is considered by some of the major colleges to get into admissions into the IIITs, NITs, CFTIs and some private engineering colleges too.
Before filling the application form, take time to read the terms and conditions along with eligibility criteria to know whether you can apply or not. Keep the mandatory documents scanned to upload while filling the application form. Aadhar or any other government issued ID card is a must. The scanned images of your photograph and signature according to the official specifications have to be kept ready beforehand. Fill in the valid personal and academic details along with reachable contact information in the application form. Fee can be paid in online mode or through or e-challan. Finally, don’t forget to take the print out of the acknowledgement page for your reference.
